Who we are
WHERE TO GO (wtg.fish) is operated by Fabian Brown / Brownsolve LTD, Limerick, Ireland. Controller contact: fmbrown12@gmail.com. We are the data controller under GDPR.
What we collect and why
- Account: name, email, hashed password (bcrypt). To let you sign in and save spots.
- Location: your browser's GPS, only to show nearby water. Used in your session, never stored on our servers, never sold.
- Catch reports: species and notes you choose to submit. Attached to your account so you can delete them.
- Cookies: essential only (your sign-in session). No advertising trackers, ever.
Your rights (GDPR)
Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection — and the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission. Delete your account and all personal data is purged within 30 days. Email fmbrown12@gmail.com for any of these.
Where data lives
On our own Irish-hosted server. Third parties: Hostinger (hosting, EU), Let's Encrypt (TLS), Stripe (payments — card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us), Open-Meteo (weather forecasts, requested without personal data). See our cookies notice. We never sell data. Attribution: data from Met Éireann, OPW waterlevel.ie, Marine Institute, IFI, OpenStreetMap, GBIF — licensed CC-BY/ODbL with attribution shown in-app.
